Summer Food Drive
a Success

August 12, 2010, Brockton, MA – Crescent Credit Union would like to thank its members, staff, and neighbors for their response to the Credit Union’s second annual summer food drive, which concluded on Saturday, July 31. The food drive, which began on May 24, collected donations of non-perishable food at all Crescent branches in Brockton, Taunton, and Norwell from credit union members and non-members alike.

“The food drive’s success is due to the generosity of the community. It is a testament to our neighbors’ kindness and support, said Crescent Credit Union President Robert Gustafson. “Everyone who was involved with the drive deserves a great deal of thanks. The food collected will certainly help those who are in the most need.”

Eleven cartons of food were collected in Brockton alone, where the Credit Union operates five branches. The food collected in Brockton is being distributed to local food shelves by the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Donations collected in Taunton have been delivered to Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, and the food collected in Norwell is being distributed via Holy Family Parish in Rockland.
